We knew that dihedral mirrors facing each other would make up the space, and that it would be our luminous visuals that would display incident rays that would bounce and propagate. The rough estimate of the reflections originated: infinite, although there are empirical equations to know this.
We model the path of light as a straight line, the so-called ray, and calculate geometrical optics. In the end, it would be the law of reflection that would govern the change of direction of the beams as they bounce off matter.
